Medicare Advantage: The Blue Plan
What is Medicare Advantage? What are the benefits of Medicare Advantage? What are the drawbacks of Medicare Advantage? Is Medicare Advantage right for me? How do I sign up for Medicare Advantage? Medicare Advantage is a health insurance plan that is provided by a private company and approved by Medicare. The plan provides all of the same benefits as Original Medicare, Part A and Part B, but often with additional benefits and lower out-of-pocket costs. Some of the extra benefits that may be included are prescription drug coverage, routine dental and vision care, and fitness programs. While Medicare Advantage plans can offer great coverage and savings, they are not right for everyone. Some of the potential drawbacks to consider are that you may have to see doctors that are in the plan’s network and you may have to get prior approval for some services.
