Advantage Plans offer all of the benefits that are included in Original Medicare Part A and Part B, but they may also include additional benefits, such as prescription drug coverage, routine vision, and dental care. There are different types of Advantage Plans, including Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs), Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) Plans, Special Needs Plans (SNPs), and HMO Point-of-Service (HMOPOS) Plans. Each type of Advantage Plan has different rules about how you get services, how much you pay for services, and which providers you can see.
